Smitty is all you could want in a ranch or trail gelding. He is quiet to handle, easy to do anything with. No spook or buck, stands to be mounted, stays tied if asked and hauls quiet n a trailer. He gets along great with other horses, shoes easily and is good for the vet. A soft one handed neck rein, he also pays attention to leg cues. Smooth gates and has a nice country covering walk. Started on cattle and been roped off of a little and we will continue that training. Has good lead collection, we are working on gates, sidepassing and doing alot of basics with him. Very fun to work with and way beyond broke as far as most horses that are just sitting in a pasture. He is a wonderful family horse. First one to meet you at the gate and will almost put a brush in your hand to be groomed! He is being used almost daily and never gives a problem, even after a lay off.
